Welcome to Christ the King Catholic School

Christ The King School Mission Statement

Christ the King School is committed to helping children know God better. The school and its families, as a part of Christ the King Parish, serve the needs of each child by nurturing spiritual, intellectual and social development. By emphasizing academic excellence in an environment rich in Catholic tradition and discipline. Christ the King School provides its students with the challenges and skills needed t thrive and prosper in a larger community.

Philosophy of Christ the King School

With the grace of God and the involvement of parents, who are the primary educators of their children, Christ the King students will develop into responsible, competent, productive, informed and moral members of the Church and society. Christ the King students will participate in programs which address the religious, academic, social, moral and physical needs of our students. The community of Christ the King views the purpose of education to be the preparation of its children in their goal of becoming life-long responsible members of the Catholic Church.

Christ the King believes in providing opportunities to develop in each student a better understanding of the Catholic community and an awareness of one’s commitment to God, self and neighbor. We foster global awareness by offering opportunities for students to appreciate different cultures as an aid to eliminating prejudice.

The Children at Christ the King School are separate individuals who approach the world of learning with various levels of development, natural ability and backgrounds. Hence, they learn in different ways. Every child is able to learn and pursue excellence to his/her greatest level of achievement. The teaching community will address these levels through multiple challenging opportunities, adjusting the curriculum to the perceived needs of each child. The students are expected to participate in the learning process appropriate to their developmental levels.

With the active participation of students, parents, school, Church and community, our Christ the King students will be valued citizens of a global community in the new millennium.
