Join fellow south-siders in the 2010 “Ride for Shelter”; a two day bike ride
(June 26 –27) from the Mississippi River to Marquette Park to raise money
for the Southwest Chicago PADS homeless shelter.
The route is being set. Three months to get ready.

Our Christ the King Family & School Association is offering
environmentally friendly, multiuse tote bags for sale. These great looking
bags are so useful – you will wonder how you lived without them!
The bags are available for $5 each or 5/$20. Contact the School to place
your order. Supplies are limited so get yours today!
MANNA NEWS
We will close Manna for spring break after sales on Saturday, March 27,
2010. We will reopen for
business on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.

CK Parishioners…. We Need Your Help!
The Christ the King School Advisory Board oversees an ongoing fundraising
program called Manna. The
Board purchases gift certificates and gift cards from hundreds of local and
national retailers at a discounted rate. The Board then sells these cards to
Christ the King families at the face value price. The difference between the
discount the Board receives and the purchase price paid is our profit.
We would like to expand on the success of our program by asking all of our
parish families to participate in Manna. This is such an easy way to help us
raise money because you are simply using the dollars you would spend to help
us raise funds.
For example, your purchase of a $100 Jewel gift card generates a profit of
$4 to us. Is your family a regular at Roseangelas? Your purchase of a $20
pizza generates a profit of $2 to us. Our profits go directly to the
school’s operating budget.
These dollars are more crucial than ever in our current economic climate!
You can purchase Manna in the Rectory basement throughout the week (evening
sales on Wednesday are on the first floor of the Rectory).
We sell Manna on the following days during the school year.
School Manna Hours
Tuesday 9:00—10:00 am
Wednesday 7:00—8:00 pm
Friday and Saturday 8:30—9:3-0 am
If you would like to help our school by purchasing Manna, but you are not
able to make it to the Rectory during our sales hours, please contact Erin

Christ the King School Advisory Board
Elections
The Christ the King School Advisory Board is seeking new members for the
three-year term beginning June 2010. Membership on the board entails a
once-a-month meeting and assisting in fundraising and advising the
administration. All parishioners except parish employees and their families
are eligible. One member per household. Parents of current students, former
students, as well as any other parishioners are encouraged to apply.

Candidate statements must be submitted to the board by April 24. Elections
will be held in the first week of May.
